Sri Lankan Couple Receive Masters Degrees from the
School of Renewable Natural Resources
A married couple, both from Sri Lanka, both receiving
their Masters Degrees in forest products, and both working under the
direction of Dr. Rich Vlosky, proudly walked the aisle during this
semester’s LSU Spring 2008 Commencement. It is no surprise that both are
now pursuing their Ph.D. degrees in forestry, together and also under
the direction of Dr. Vlosky.
It is rare in deed to have a married couple
graduating at the same commencement ceremony but even more rare to have
them earning the same degree, not to mention that they are both from the
country of Sri Lanka. The School of Renewable Natural Resources
congratulates them on their accomplishments and we wish them well in
continuing their education at our School.
